Embroidery Hoop

When I first began the Gretel Girl business, it was with the success of the humble embroidery hoop. Printing my illustrations onto vintage fabrics (including upcycled tea towels, tablecloths, shirts, & curtains) and fixing inside an embroidery hoop was an effective solution to displaying my art on the wall. Although I have expanded my works past the illustrated embroidery hoops, they still remain one of my favourite products.
Cushions - new
Last year I had the privilege of creating a range of cushions for the Minima Hotel's art rooms (check it out here). The popularity of these designs led me to create a new range late last year. Available in 2 sizes, printed by Digital Fabrics (Sydney), and professionally sewn in Melbourne, these cushions are simply to die for! Grab one before this limited edition runs out.
Woodblocks
I am one of those people who struggle to drive past hard rubbish left out on the footpath. I'm not a hoarder...but Im sure I have the potential to be! I see discarded objects & materials and immediately feel like I can see a new value/life for it. I am constantly looking out for beautiful discarded wood for my little art works. These pieces can be quite time consuming & therefore I find I dont make them as much as I would like. But I am grateful that Art Images Gallery happily sells them during their Christmas exhibition each year. Fingers crossed 2014 will be the same.

Travel Mug
After created limited editions of both hand-drawn & decal illustrated travel mugs, I am now exploring having a range of these mugs professionally made. Its my hope that by the end of the year I will have beautiful illustrated ceramic mugs that are scratch resistant & are happy to be popped in the dishwasher! Stay tuned!
